Can I power wash my roof?

No, however, you need to pay attention to the amount of pressure used. This is why soft washing is preferred at SW Detail Painting, because the chemicals should mix appropriately for better results and no damages to the roof.

What type of paint should I use to paint the exterior of my house?

You can use a paint brand of your choice, as long as it is a medium to upper grade of paint. Exterior latex acrylic works good because it tends to hold up in bad weather years down the line. This type of paint extends the lifetime of your outdoor paint, and is also more durable.

Does paint expire?

The answer is yes, at some point. Of course the life depends on different factors like where you live and what kind of paint was used. If you are storing paint for later use, make sure to clean around the top rim and seal tight to prevent air from coming in. Also keep in a cool area to help preserve the life of your paint.

What should I use to protect my carpet from paint?

Some people use plastic sheeting and some use canvas. Plastic sheeting is the least expensive, but it tends to be less durable and can cause you to trip if you’re not careful. Canvas lays flat and it can soak up any paint drops rather than hold it.

What size roller cover should I use for interior painting?

It really depends on your homes wall texture. In general, the smoother your walls, the smaller your roller cover. The more textured your walls, the thicker your roller cover should be.
